Affiliate disclosure
Plain English, because you deserve to know when a link earns someone money.

The disclosure
Creative Owl is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.co.uk.
What that means in practice
- Every “Buy on Amazon” button on this site is an affiliate link.
- If you buy after clicking one, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale.
- You pay exactly the same price. The commission comes out of Amazon’s margin, not your pocket.
- You are never obliged to use our links. Searching for the book title on Amazon yourself gets you the same book at the same price.
Does it change what we recommend?
No — and there is a structural reason it cannot. Every book linked from this site is a book we wrote and illustrated ourselves. We are not reviewing other people’s products or ranking them by commission. There is nothing here we would recommend differently if the affiliate programme vanished tomorrow.
What we can and cannot see
Amazon gives us anonymous, aggregated reports: how many people clicked, how many items were ordered, and the commission earned. We never see who you are, what else was in your basket, your address or your payment details.
Clicking through does mean Amazon sets its own cookies — see our cookie policy and privacy policy for the detail.
Where the money goes
Straight back into making the next book: illustration, proofs and printing. Creative Owl is a one-person operation, and affiliate commission is a small part of what keeps the series going.
